Easy Earth Day Crafts for At Home Learning

Blended Earth

Supplies:

  • Coffee filter

  • Green and blue markers

  • Spray bottle with water

How to:

Put the coffee filter on a paper plate or piece of heavy duty paper. Make a pattern or design with the markers. Mix the green and blue equally, it's okay to leave some white space. Spray the coffee filter with water. Let dry for a couple hours. The markers will blend and look like the earth!

Melted Earth

Supplies:

  • Blue and green peeled crayons

  • Heart or small mold

  • Wax paper

  • Cooking sheet

How to:

Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees. Peel the green and blue crayons. I used different shades of blues and greens to add dimension. I overfilled the mold, when they melt they will fill up the space. Put mold on a cooking sheet with wax paper under mold. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Take out and let cool for 20 minutes. Pop crayons out of the mold.

Painted Earth

Supplies:

  • Blue and green paint (any kind)

  • Paper plate

  • Balloon

  • Heavy duty paper

How to:

Blow up the balloon. Add blue and green paint to paper plate. Add several blobs in different sections. Don't mix the paint but spread out. Dip the top of balloon(rounded part) in the paint. Press the balloon on the paper. Roll around to make circular. You can add words or hand prints to the earth painting, once the paint is dry.

Feed the Earth

Supplies:

  • Toilet paper roll

  • Hole punch

  • String

  • Peanut butter

  • Bird seed

  • Plastic knife

  • Paper plate

How to:

Punch 2 holes at the top of the toilet paper roll. Tie the string through the holes. Spread the peanut butter on the bottom half of the roll. Add the seed to the peanut butter. Let dry for a couple hours. Hang on a tree away from your house. :)
